Want to know the top 20 sports in America?
Ok the top 5 are a definite yes, but do you agree with the rest of these?
- American Football – of course, been around since the 1800’s.
- Baseball - A sport that nobody knows how to play, unless you already know how to play it.
- Basketball - America has teams in the NBA, the most around the world.
- Hockey - A great Sport in America, but bigger in other countries, it is still huge.
- Golf - Always considered a posh mans sport, and it is, except Tiger Woods really set it off for everyone.
- Wrestling - Americans gather in their millions to watch this, but is it a real sport.
- Tennis - Not really an American Past Time, but definitely a well respected sport.
- Skateboarding - This really wouldn't have stood much of a chance at getting anywhere if it wasn't for America.
- Surfing - Enjoyed by all around the world, but made great by America.
- Ice Skating - This is taken very seriously over the world, and in America.
- Boxing - What a money grabber, unfortunately it doesn't happen enough around the year.
- Soccer- Although no where near as big as American Football, still a growing sport.
- Archery – A guaranteed final spot in the Olympics for the Americans with the likes of Geena Davis, training harder than ever.
- Volleyball - Definitely, who ever thought this up knew exactly what they were doing.
- Cycling - Has been in the sport world for a while now, and has taken off, but not as much as others.
- Track and Field - The Americans are best known at the Olympics for this event.
- Horse Racing - Back in the day this was much bigger than Auto Racing.
- Rock Climbing – This has gone world wide since the film Mission impossible along with various stunts by Alain Robert.
- Extreme Sports - This is basically anything that is not normally done.
- Auto Racing - Is very popular, but it doesn't come high because of the different opinions across America.
So what do you think of these sports? Can you do better? What a great way to find out – try Las Vegas holidays or New York holidays to really find out
