Women Boxing it's now growing in the UK

Believe it or not women's boxing first appeared at the 1904 Olympic Games ! but sadly,for most of the 20th century it was banned by many nations, until 1988 when the Swedish Amateur Boxing Association revived the sport for women.

Many UK amateur boxing clubs now provide facilities for female boxers.

Women Boxing History in UK

Women's boxing originally appeared at the 1904 Olympic Games as a short demonstration.

It was only around 1988 that the Swedish Amateur Boxing Association revived the sports for women and authorized the boxing events for women.At the end of the century, the International Amateur Boxing Association accepted new rules for female boxing and approved the first European Cup for Women in 1999 and the first World Championships for women in 2001.
